Prevent teeth grinding with custom-made 3D printed Nightguards

Do you clench and grind your teeth at night? Do you find that you wake up with soreness around the jaw muscles? Has your dentist told you that you have cracked, chipped, or worn teeth that are indicative of issues such as bruxism or temporomandibular joint disorder? Patients diagnosed with one or both of these conditions may find that their provider will recommend using a specialized mouthguard or nightguard. At All Smiles Dental in Clarksburg, West Virginia, we are pleased to not only offer dental nightguards but provide customized 3D printed nightguards for patients who need them.

Why Choose US

Why do I need a nightguard/mouthguard?

Bruxism is a condition that causes patients to clench and grind their teeth, often at night when they might not even realize it. It is commonly seen alongside other coexisting conditions, such as temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD), a dysfunction of the jaw joint. Muscles can tense and cause discomfort around the mouth. Additionally, patients with bruxism may notice extensive wear and tear on the teeth. That is due to the bite coming together as you sleep in a way that puts pressure on the teeth, causing damage. In this case, Drs. Roger Suter and Adam Boustany may recommend using a nightguard or mouthguard to wear at night to protect your teeth.

How do I obtain a mouthguard or nightguard?

While some patients purchase mouthguards at the local drugstore, many will benefit from their customized nightguard. These cost more but function much better than over-the-counter alternatives. We offer custom-made 3D printed nightguards to our patients to help prevent nighttime clenching and grinding. A night of grinding is equivalent to a year’s worth of natural wear on a tooth. You only have one set of teeth, and it is better to protect your natural teeth.

Are you interested in custom-made mouthguards?

Over-the-counter mouthguards and nightguards are often ill-fitting and cannot provide the protection patients need. Instead, the team at All Smiles Dental encourages patients to consider having the appliance custom-made by our dentists, Drs. Roger Suter and Adam Boustany. Call the office at (304) 635-5454 to request a consultation appointment at our practice, located at 2017 East Pike Street in Clarksburg, West Virginia. We are open to new and returning patients.
